We're also recommending a variety of designs - from protective snap-on shells to folios and sleeves that you simply store your MacBook in. Our list consists of protective cases for some of the best MacBooks of all sizes, with the current 13 and 16-inch sizes, as well as the 15-inch if you're protecting an investment you already made. To help you out, we've rounded up the best MacBook Pro cases we could find. As such these cases are essential for premium laptops. A sturdy case with enough durability can protect against all of those scenarios, but they can even defend your laptop against unexpected falls. To be more on topic, just based on my personal experience I'd steer clear of Logitech for the moment - though that's your choice because there's a lot of happy Logitech users out there, I'm just not one of them unfortunately, and I know you have also had issues with Logitech.Without a protective case, bag or sleeve, your MacBook Pro is susceptible to all manner of calamities, including getting scratched, or even worse, drowning in spilled liquids or covered in crumbs. It's so basic, and it's not true bluetooth as it has a tiny little receiver - not sure if you'd class that a 'dongle' as such but it does take up a USB port (& if you're on a MacBook I imagine that's even more inconvenient). I use the trackpad for the Mac and for the PC I have a cheap Tecknet mouse:

The Mac picks it up as soon as it's unplugged. Should I wish to switch between the two computers I just plug/unplug it. I now have a Magic Keyboard that I use with the Mac via bluetooth, and plug it in directly to my windows laptop when I want to use it for work. As with anything though your mileage may vary. There definitely seems to be an issue with Logitech peripherals on Mac (it's worth noting the mouse was fine on Windows). It's slightly better without the Options software installed, but even then it lags a lot more than my Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad 2 (on Bluetooth with Big Sur 11.2). The lag is unbearable, and thats both with and without the Unifying receiver. While we're on the topic of Logitech peripherals, I recently purchased a Logitech M720 Triathlon so that I could have one mouse to switch between my Mac mini & my work PC.
